Holly was dropped off at the shelter in December, less than a year
old and pregnant. Arrangements were made with "sheltie rescue"
to foster her until her pups were born and weaned. She was returned
to the shelter on Valentine's Day and Jill went to collect her immediately.
What a sweet dog, so gentle and easy to please, but what a lot of
energy. She was definitely a mix of sheltie and energizer bunny! She
was housetrained from the outset and didn't chew anything she wasn't
suppose to.
Within
two weeks she was settled enought to let off leash in the woods where
she would run for miles at full speed, and try to herd the other dogs.
In June we thought we had found her a great home but, after keeping
us in limbo for two months, the family who "really wanted Holly"
decided not to proceed with the adoption. Shortly thereafter we found
her the perfect home with a family in the South Hills, where she was
placed on September 2nd. Her new family consists of Mom, Dad and four
kids under the age of seven. Holly is very gentle with them all and
they just love her.
