Doggie was found hungry and badly matted, wandering the streets of
Maryland.
It is not often we get pure-bred pets who come into our care. When
we do, we assume that placement will be easy. This was not the case!
Lhasas have a reputation for being "biters" and this young
dog was no exception. It was essential to find him a home with an owner
who has experience with fear agression.
Fortunately, our web site became a reality at about the same time as
we took this dog into our rescue program. Linda saw his picture, read
about his needs and contacted us. Her elderly cocker, who also had aggression
problems, had died in May, and she was looking for a pet to help fill
the hole in her heart. Despite Doggie's problems, she wanted to adopt
him. Doggie No-Name now has a very fancy name - "Sir Lancelot"
- and he is working hard to loose his nick-name of "Sir Bite-a-lot"!!
