What a difference a day makes! Impound # 3778185 came from the Lancaster shelter on 2/12. She had been impounded on 1/28. If the owners who surrendered her haven't been charged with animal cruelty then I can only hope it is because the shelter is overwhelmed and short on staff ! Who knew what lay beneath the horribly matted coat covered in feces and urine. It was a 3 hour process to reveal the cute little dog underneath a coat that came off in large pieces! Sassy is a 2 year-old Lhasa who has hit the doggie lottery. She is now cleaned up and due to be spayed on 2/28. This great little dog deserves the very best from now on. A jewelled collar and pink, fleecy bed is the very least this friendly little dog deserves. Sassy loves to be loved (and presently thinks that her savior/groomer is the best thing since sliced bread!) She is current on shots, microchipped and will be ready for adoption in early March. She seems to be good with other dogs and loves her daily walk.
